The literary and artistic avant-garde of the first half of the twentieth century made use of advances in typesetting, printing and image (photograph, photo-engraving).They did not hesitate to burst the limits of the genre, or the way their works were put on the page. Thus new poems (type graphics, combinatory poetry, collages) were born, many of them embedded in long-established practices.
A hundred years later we ask ourselves: which media are being used in literature? Are artists aware that they are working within a long tradition? What resources are used among the huge range made available by the digital revolution? Which are the barriers, if any? Which are the results?
Nobody better to explore this territory that the creators themselves. Their essentially visual presentations take form onscreen.
The seminar has been followed live on the Silver Age website. Click on Papers to see all the videos (in Spanish).
