What is the relationship between the world of images and the world of ideas? In the field of hard sciences, the use of visual formulas for presenting data is normal, but what about philosophy, literature, philology and the social sciences? This seminar aims to investigate these issues from medieval images on and to introduce contemporary research in areas such as the presentation of texts and the new interfaces for exploration of new relationships and cooperation. This seminar will address how the image provides access to data or build concepts that would otherwise be difficult to obtain.
